IELTS – Speaking Test Coaching
The International English Language Testing System or simply IELTS has two versions of exams; the ACADEMIC and GENERAL. Both have 4 parts; listening, writing, reading & speaking. But what is the difference between the two versions? Here’s how you can determine the type of IELTS exam you should take.
IELTS - Academic
If you’re planning to study for higher education (university, college, etc.), or to get your Master’s or Doctorate degree in the U.S. or the U.K., or you wish to pursue work or training in a professional field such as medicine or engineering, taking the Academic exam would be more appropriate since it’s one of the requirements by major schools or universities. This version assesses a candidate’s readiness for academic studying or training in a pure English language environment.
IELTS – General
The General Training exam is usually taken by individuals who would like to study, work or train in an English-speaking country. If you wish to migrate to English-speaking countries, such as Australia, Canada, New Zealand or the UK, it’s also the type of test you need as a requirement. Candidates taking the IELTS General Training exam are tested on everyday use of the language, with content and questions focused on workplace and social situations.
In relation to this, E-CATS offers two different coaching classes specifically designed for the Academic or General speaking tests.
